4. i Light Singapore 2026

Marina Bay is about to get a serious glow-up. Running through 4 weekends in June, i Light Singapore 2026 returns with 14 large-scale light art installations by artists from Singapore and across Asia, transforming the waterfront into an open-air playground of illuminated artworks.
This year’s highlights include sustainability-themed installations that transform everyday ideas into dazzling light experiences. Expect plenty of photo ops, interactive displays, and night walks that make your camera roll work overtime. Best of all, most installations are free to view, making this one of the easiest date-night or post-dinner activities in town.

5. GastroBeats 2026

The unofficial national pastime of eating returns to Bayfront Event Space with GastroBeats 2026. This year’s festival features up to 40 food vendors, daily live music performances, arcade games, and a new pickleball zone.

Singapore’s weather may be permanently set to “UV warning”, but at least you can learn something from it. UNIQLO Sunny Garden is a 3-day pop-up that transforms Bugis Junction into an interactive garden experience designed around sun protection and summer essentials.
The star attraction is the UV Tech Experience Zone, where visitors can watch UV-reactive flowers magically change colour under ultraviolet light, offering a surprisingly cool visual demonstration of just how much sun exposure we’re getting on a daily basis.
There’s also a dedicated sunglasses try-on area where you can test-drive different styles before committing to your next summer accessory. Better yet, the pop-up comes with plenty of freebies for UNIQLO App (App Store | Google Play) members.

What looks like a flower market is actually an art installation. Australian artist Cj Hendry is bringing her viral Flower Market experience to Singapore, filling an open space at IMBA with tens of thousands of plush flowers inspired by real blooms.
Entry is free; every visitor gets to bring home 1 complimentary flower, and the Singapore edition even includes locally inspired designs like Vanda Miss Joaquim and Raffles’ Pitcher Plant. It’s part art exhibition, part giant photo backdrop, and entirely Instagram bait.

16. LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2026

Fashion girlies, design nerds, and anyone who’s ever stared at a handcrafted ceramic bowl should check out the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2026 exhibition at National Gallery Singapore. The showcase brings together 30 wildly inventive craft works from around the world, spanning ceramics, textiles, glass, woodwork, lacquer art, and metalwork.
Expect pieces that blur the line between art object and “how did someone even make this?”, including giant woven tapestries, surreal porcelain sculptures made from paper-dipped clay, intricate bamboo installations, and jewellery crafted using centuries-old techniques.
One standout is this year’s winning piece, Strata of Illusion by South Korean artist Jongjin Park, a distorted chair-like sculpture made from thousands of porcelain-coated paper sheets. Even if you’re not deep into the craft world, the exhibition feels less like a traditional museum show and more like wandering through a very stylish fever dream of textures and materials.

17. Children’s Festival 2026

This year’s Children’s Festival at Gardens by the Bay is basically a giant Winnie-the-Pooh-themed playground straight out of the Hundred Acre Wood. The free festival celebrates 100 years of the honey-loving bear with outdoor play zones, giant inflatables, and Singapore’s first-ever Winnie the Pooh-themed zipline, where kids can glide 16m across Supertree Grove like tiny chaotic squirrels.

Other highlights include Pooh’s Grand Friendship Party, a lively inflatable parade happening on selected Saturdays with massive 7m-tall Pooh and friends roaming the Gardens, plus themed obstacle courses, trampolines, and interactive installations inspired by characters from the Hundred Acre Wood.
On weekends, there’ll also be a Hunny Café pop-up selling adorable Pooh-themed plushie “food” like bubble tea and toast sets that look dangerously collectible.

School holiday plans sorted. Children’s Season 2026 is back with a month-long lineup of playful, hands-on activities happening across museums in Singapore. Organised by Children’s Museum Singapore, this year’s edition revolves around sustainability and imaginative play, but in a fun “kids running wild through interactive exhibits” kind of way instead of classroom energy.
Some highlights include a pop-up playground where kids can build creative spaces using everyday materials, an interactive “River Hunt” treasure trail through the National Museum of Singapore, and free craft stations where little ones can fold origami sampans or make moving bridge-themed art pieces.
There are also sensory play sessions, interactive theatre performances, and storytelling sessions using traditional Japanese kamishibai paper theatre. Basically, it’s a giant excuse for kids to touch everything, ask 4,000 questions, and accidentally learn something along the way.

19. ONE Ocean: Every Action Ripples

Make waves this June at Science Centre Singapore with a lineup of immersive science experiences for the whole fam. The big highlight is ONE Ocean: Every Action Ripples, a new multi-sensory exhibition opening on 30th May that takes visitors on a deep-sea adventure through 10 interactive zones featuring 360° ocean projections, free-roaming VR, spatial soundscapes, and hands-on installations.
Expect everything from Arctic expeditions and coral reefs to whale migrations and Singapore’s own marine ecosystems, all wrapped up in a visually stunning experience that feels part science museum, part underwater fever dream.
There’ll also be ocean-themed activities under JUNEureka 2026, special KidsSTOP™ programmes, and school holiday activities happening throughout the month.

If your aesthetic vocabulary includes words like “Heisei-era street style”, “Harajuku archive”, or “I miss old magazines”, then Archive of Youth deserves a detour this week. This pop-up browsing library exhibition celebrates the 5th anniversary of Dirt Fruits with over 60 rare Japanese magazines and books from the ’90s and 2000s.
Expect cult favourites like FRUiTS, KERA, and CUTiE, alongside nostalgic fashion editorials, underground street snaps, vintage ads, and iconic pop culture moments from Japan’s countercultural scene.
Some featured finds include Sofia Coppola at the Park Hyatt, old Björk Post album ads, Vivienne Westwood shoe spreads, and behind-the-scenes photos from Jun Takahashi and Walter Van Beirendonck fashion shows. Basically, it’s a giant analogue moodboard for anyone obsessed with Y2K fashion, zines, and the chaotic beauty of pre-Instagram youth culture.

21. Goodman Arts Centre (GAC) Artventure

Spend a chill, artsy day exploring hidden studios and creative spaces at Goodman Arts Centre. As part of the new GAC Artventure launch, 27 artist tenants across Singapore’s largest arts enclave will open their studio doors to the public for a rare behind-the-scenes peek into their creative processes. Expect everything from visual arts and performances to interdisciplinary works, plus special curated experiences by selected artists.
Beyond the Open Studio Day on 6th June, visitors can also explore the centre via self-guided themed trails year-round. Wander freely with stamp rally maps, discover public artworks tucked around the compound, or uncover the site’s history through nostalgic postcard-inspired installations. It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure, but for artsy explorers who enjoy stumbling upon cool things by accident.

23. Rainforest Wild Adventure new zone & experiences
From 20th May onwards
Previously known as Rainforest Wild ASIA, the Rainforest Wild Adventure park in Mandai Wildlife Reserve is getting an upgrade in the form of an entirely new zone, dubbed Rainforest Wild Adventure East. Visitors will be able to check out the park’s updated offerings from 20th May 2026 onwards, and boy, do these new experiences ($10/pax each) look fun.

Take to the skies with the Canopy Glider, as you soar above the treetops; look down to spot critters such as estuarine crocodiles and bongos chilling beneath you. The Ravine Swing is another thrilling attraction to have a go at, as it takes you 8m up in the air before plunging you down to catch a glimpse of the passing African painted dogs.

The high elements don’t end there, as you’re invited to scale a strangler fig during Primate Climb to get a better view of Diana monkeys. On the other hand, the Split Rock Summit promises sweeping views of the park after conquering its 11m-tall peak, but if you’d rather more greenery, opt for the Treetop Traverse’s 125m-long harnessed course instead.

24. Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue

Families with kids obsessed with the blocky wonder of Minecraft, you’ll be able to step into the game’s Overworld at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The new Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue is here to stay all the way till September, and Minecraft fans of all ages will be in for a treat.

This indoor, hour-long experience has it all, from immersive projections, theatrical sets, photo spots, and motion-tracking gameplay for an impromptu workout. You’ll start off in the Minecraft Forest and venture through the game’s various biomes, gathering resources and spotting iconic Minecraft mobs like the panda, sheep, and Iron Golem along the way.

Each visitor will be equipped with an Orb of Interaction, which allows them to shape the blocky world around them and influence the outcome of their adventure, making each visit unique. Before you go, swing by the Trading Outpost to snag a cool keepsake, as well as a highly coveted in-game cape.

26. 1826 Beethoven’s Penultimate Year

History and classical music collide in 1826: Beethoven’s Penultimate Year, a multimedia concert-theatre experience that explores the final chapter of Ludwig van Beethoven’s extraordinary life. Set 1 year before his death, the production blends live music, storytelling, and historical insights to paint a portrait of the legendary composer as he grappled with illness, isolation, and the creation of some of his most enduring works.
Rather than a traditional classical concert, audiences can expect an immersive journey through Beethoven’s world, featuring performances of his music alongside narration and visual elements that bring 19th-century Europe to life. Opening on 8th June, Disney Garden of Wonder features 23 floral and plant sculptures spread across 6 themed zones, including new appearances by Disney Princesses Rapunzel, Belle and Jasmine, as well as Anna and Elsa from Frozen.

Another Roald Dahl classic-turned-musical is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It’ll be making its first Southeast Asia stop at Marina Bay Sands’ Sands Theatre from 19th May till 14th June 2026. Something huge’s gracing the IMBA Theatre at Gardens by the Bay. English Artist David Hockney has transformed the space into his own visual playground titled Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away).

Like its name suggests, the showcased works show how the artist has continually challenged the way we see the world, across painting, photography, drawing, and digital media. He taps on large-scale projections, layered sound design, and dynamic spatial design to show how scale, proximity, and attention can turn everyday moments extraordinary.
